Building The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

July 17, 2015 – Time-lapse video shows a behind-the-scenes look inside Boeing’s factory as a 787-9 Dreamliner is built.

Half of the Boeing 787’s frame is built out of carbon fiber. The 787 is more fuel efficient than planes traditionally made from aluminium. The 787-9 is 20 feet longer than its predecessor, and it can also fly further. The plane holds 290 passengers. The newest Dreamliners will have an 8,200 mile range, and will be able to fly nonstop from Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia.
